Turkish counter-terrorism police have raided the offices of an aid agency on the border with Syria, in what local media described as an operation in six cities against individuals suspected of having links to al-Qaeda.

Hamas supporting Flotilla" organizers IHH who told the world they were bringing humanitarian aid to Gaza, have been raided by Turkish authorities for ties to Al Qaeda.
Please see this video:
Israel has always maintained that the IHH could have brought the aid through Israel after screening for weapons, as is done every day. The IHH instead chose to attack the soldiers boarding the ship in order to create a media stunt -- which worked. 9 people were killed because of the melee those seeking "martyrdom" cased.
SUPPORTING TERRORISTS IS NOT "#HUMANITARIAN AID". DON'T BE FOOLED AGAIN.

Israeli Inquiry: Flotilla Raid was Legal

An Israeli inquiry commission defended the actions of its troops during last year's deadly raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla sailing from Turkey.
Israeli naval commandos killed nine Turkish nationals aboard the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara on May 31 after passengers resisted the takeover of the vessel.
The nearly 300-page report released Sunday by the government-appointed Turkel Commission said the actions of the soldiers "were found to be legal pursuant to the rules of international law" and that they opened fire in self-defense. .
The commission cleared the soldiers of any use of unnecessary violence, stating: "It is possible to determine that the IDF soldiers acted professionally and with great presence of mind in light of the extreme violence which they hadn't expected.
"This professionalism was evident in the fact that they continued to exchange their lethal weapons for the less lethal option and visa versa in order to give a response that was appropriate to the nature of the violence directed at them."
According to the commission, the soldiers were the violence caught the soldiers by surprise when they boarded the Marmara. "The decision-makers didn't have any prior knowledge of the violent reception planned by the IHH members and their inability to identify the intentions of the IHH directly affected the planning and execution of the operation."
The commission members found that incomplete intelligence gathering wasn't the only reason for the lack of preparation: "The possibility that an organized group, armed with lethal weapons was on board the Marmara and set to take active measures against attempts to board the ship wasn't taken into account."
The IDF received a great deal of praise from the Turkel committee for placing senior officers on the scene – including the navy commander. "This increased the chain of command's awareness of the developments as they happened, which helped them reach decisions efficiently, at the right time as the incident developed."
The decision to use the commandos in the operation was also praised. "The decision is compatible with the international practice which is used in naval operations, even when not considered an armed confrontation," the report stated. In addition, the commission members wrote praised the manner in which the IDF handled the transfer of the passengers to Israel, stressing the coordination between the governmental offices.
IHH members used live fire
The committee also addressed the decision to stop the flotilla before it arrived in Gaza: "We insist that the governmental and military echelons... Took into consideration Israel's commitments to international law during the preparation stages and the management of the operation.
"The demand to provide a balance to these commitments was in line with Israel's general interests to prevent political de-legitimization and harm Israel's image," the committee stated.
On the decision to use force, the committee members noted that: "The IHH members acted with violence towards the IDF soldiers on the Marmara by arming themselves with various types of weapons, including iron rods, knives, axes, clubs and metal objects.
"The weapons were capable of killing and severely injuring. In addition, the violent events were evident in the way the IHH organized the joint attack on the IDF soldiers. The IHH members used firearms against the soldiers during the incident."
Meanwhile, the Turkel Commission also examined the legitimacy of the blockade on Gaza. Its conclusions reveal that the blockade is proportional and that human rights in Gaza weren't violated by Israel.
The committee stated that after examining the material it was presented with, including documents from human rights groups, it found no evidence that Israel was trying to deny Gazans from receiving foodstuffs or that Israel was trying to "destroy or weaken (Gaza's) population through starvation."
The committee noted that in their statements before the committee, human rights organizations' representatives, including those from the Doctors for Human Rights group, confirmed that during the relevant period, there was a sufficient amount of food in the Gaza Strip and that the problem was mainly an economic one, meaning, the population lacked the necessary funds to purchase food.
The Turkel Commission said the Hamas-ruled coastal enclave suffers from a 'lack of nutritional stability', not starvation, and determined that the Israeli naval blockade is legal in accordance with international law.
The commission, headed by a retired Supreme Court justice, included five Israeli members and two international observers - Brig. Gen. Ken Watkin of Canada and Lord David Trimble of Northern Ireland.
The bloodshed drew heavy international condemnation directed at Israel and forced it to ease the blockade on the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.

Turkish 'Peace Activists' Visit Jihad Gunmen
On backdrop of strained relations between Israel and Turkey, Islamic Jihad website displays photos of recent flotilla's Turkish passengers visiting Gaza and trying on organization's uniform. 'All Turkish people pray for your victory,' one of guests says.
The Viva Palestina 5 ship carrying "peace activists," which docked at the al-Arish port recently, brought along not only humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza, but also enthusiastic Turks who took advantage of the opportunity to visit local Islamic Jihad members.
In pictures obtained by Ynet, the Turks are seen holding weapons and rocket launchers. While their prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan continues to blast Israel and demand an apology for "state terrorism," two of the guests put on the uniform of the al-Quds Brigades, the Islamic Jihad's military wing.
The pictures from the Turkish delegation's visit were put on the al-Quds Brigades website as part of the coverage of their visit. The guests' face was blurred, but shortly afterwards the photos were removed from the site, most likely for fear that the Turks would be hurt.
During their visit to Gaza, the Turkish delegation members visited several Islamic Jihad posts. One of the guests was quoted as telling the group's gunmen that they are "a source of pride for all decent people in the Arab and Muslim world." He defined them as "the forefront of the struggle against the Zionists."
The Turkish guests praised the Palestinian activists, saying, "I am proud to be here with you, who have sacrificed so much for the sake of the Muslim nation. All of the Turkish people, as well as the Arabs and all Muslims, pray for your victory, support you and strengthen you."
Meanwhile Monday, the Turkel Committee appointed to probe the deadly Navy raid on the Turkish-owned Marmara ship in late May, heard the testimonies of two Israeli Arabs who were onboard the vessel during the incident.
One of the them, Hamed Abu Dabous of Rahat was asked by the committee members about a televised speech in which one of the flotilla's leaders called for violent resistance and said that if Israel Defense Forces soldiers tried to take over the boat, "we'll thrown them into the sea."
Abu Dabous responded that he was not "a television fan", adding that he knew nothing of that speech. He claimed that he was a law abiding citizen and was unaware of the prohibition to enter the Strip.
"If what you wanted would have happened, you would have reached Gaza. So your intention was indeed to break the law," one of the committee members told him.

Reuters Crops Out Knives, Blood From Raid Photos
American blog exposes two pictures initially issued by IHH group, later distributed by British news agency and cropped to conceal pool of blood, knives held by 'peace activists'
British news agency Reuters has cropped out knives and blood traces from at least two photos distributed by the IHH organization and showing the Navy raid on the Gaza-bound Marmara ship, the "Little Green Footballs" blog claimed.
Photos released by Turkish daily Hurriyet were distributed to foreign media by the news agencies. While Associated Press issued the photos untouched, Reuters cut the pictures thereby concealing the image of one of the boat's assailants holding a knife as well as a pool of blood.
"That’s a very interesting way to crop the photo," the blog stated. "Most people would consider that knife an important part of the context. Cropping out a knife, in a picture showing a soldier who’s apparently been stabbed, seems like a very odd editorial decision. Unless someone was trying to hide it."
In a later post, the blog shows a second photo which appeared to have been cropped as well. In this case too a knife held by one of the attackers was edited out.
"Now we have two pictures from the 'peace activists' that were cropped by someone at Reuters to remove knives in the hands of the activists, as they attempted to take soldiers hostage," the blog noted.
In response Reuters stressed that they did not intentionally edit the photos but innocently cut them in way that left the margins out. The agency also removed the photos from its server and replaced them with the pictures in their original form.
This is not the first instance in which Reuters has been found tampering with pictures. During the Second Lebanon War the news agency admitted to graphically editing a picture of Lebanon and adding in smoke above the houses shown. The Little Green Footballs blog exposed the matter in that case too.

The Captain of Turkish Ship "Marmara" Testifies: "I Tried to Stop the Preparation Two Hours Before IDF Boarded"
Israel's Foreign Secretary's Department shared video of the captain of the Turkish ship "Marmara" testifying how the "peace activists" prepared to use violence with the soldiers enforcing the blockade. He claimed, "I tried to stop the preparations for violence, but with no success. I ordered the employees of the ship to collect all the iron rods (sticks)".
While the supporters of the "peace activists" keep insisting that the IDF initiated the violence on board, Israel is offering more proof of the real intentions of the so called "peace activists".
For the first time since the flotilla incident, the department of foreign affairs disclosed the testimony of the captain of the Turkish ship, who said that he saw with his own eyes the participants of the flotilla cutting rods from the deck and converting them to iron cudgels.
The captain, Muhamet Toobel, said the preparations to confront the IDF soldiers started two hours before the first soldier came on board.
Toobel noted that in the hours before the confrontation the crew felt the stress among the activists who were gathered on the main deck. After a quick check, he understood that members of the Turkish organization IHH were responsible for creating the iron clubs. This preparation worried him, and he tried to stop it, but to no avail.
"I asked the second (sub) captain what's going on and he told me 'they cut the iron rods and put them on the bridge'. When the soldiers came on the board they (the activists) ran to the bridge and grabbed the iron billy clubs.
"Some of the iron cudgels I saw, I took and threw to the sea and others I hid.
I was not aware that there were such huge amounts of iron that were converted to weapons", further testified the captain, a Turkish citizen.
When asked if the activists prepared in advance for the confrontation, he answered "yes, that is what I saw and that is also what I have been told by members of my crew."
The documents containing the complete investigation of the captain and video testimony of another activist from the flotilla were uploaded to the website of the terror department of Israel's intelligence agency and were to be used for countering propaganda around the world.

Gaza Flotilla - Hamas Refuses to Allow Aid Supplies Into Gaza
Goods brought by flotilla pile up in army warehouses because Hamas rejects their entrance by land
Despite international criticism against Israel following a calamitous IDF raid on an aid flotilla to Gaza, it appeared Monday that Hamas was the one preventing the goods brought by the flotilla from entering the Strip.
The army announced Monday that the humanitarian aid brought by the ships had been mostly unloaded, and estimated that the task would be completed in the next few days.
owever Hamas continues to insist that the shipment not be brought in through the land crossings, and in the meantime the goods continue to pile up in the army's warehouses.
Major Or Elrom, of the office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the (Palestinian) Territories, said there was nothing on board the flotilla's ships that Gaza's residents did not already have.
"All of these goods have been previously conveyed there, and we hope we can do the same in this case," she said.
A Defense Ministry facility adjacent to the Tzrifin army base has been turned into a temporary warehouse over the past few days, containing beds, mattresses, couches, medical supplies, shoes, clothing, and medicine – some of which has reportedly expired.
Eitan Kosto, who heads the Defense Ministry's logistics corps, said the cargo had not been loaded onto the ships according to professional guidelines and therefore some of the goods were damaged during the unloading.
"We had to work for a long time and devote many resources to unloading it all," he said. "The fact that it wasn't properly organized caused damage to some of the goods, but finally we succeeded in organizing everything so it could be transferred to the Strip."
Much of the equipment so far unloaded from the ships – mostly shoes and electric carts – was secondhand, while other products were apparently donated by various organizations and civilians, Kosto said.
He added that his personnel had not yet unloaded the cement and building materials on board, which would have to undergo security checks before entering the Strip.
However it remains unclear whether Hamas will allow the materials to enter. Last week the group kept out eight trucks carrying humanitarian supplies, which were attempting to enter through the Kerem Shalom crossing.

Gaza Flotilla - Gandhi & the Gaza goons
By: Jonah Goldberg
On May 29, two days before Israel's botched raid of six "humanitarian" ships bound for Gaza, Robert Naiman, the policy director of something called "Just Foreign Policy," wrote an item on the Huffington Post headlined "Gaza Freedom Flotilla Shows Awesome Power of Nonviolent Resistance."
He waxed lyrical about how the moral authority of nonviolence had compelled Turkish-controlled Cyprus to help the flotilla while Greek-controlled Cyprus had allegedly caved to Israeli pressure in refusing to help the heirs of Gandhi (it couldn't have been because the Turks were up to no good).
Peaceful? A protest in southern Lebanon against the Israeli raid.
"All this," Naiman gushed, "and the main confrontation between the Israeli occupation authorities and the Gaza Freedom Flotilla has not yet begun."
Roughly 48 hours later, the "main confrontation" unfolded. In fairness, most "peace activists" on the ships were nonviolent, offering passive resistance. But on the last boat Israelis boarded, the supposed disciples of peace attacked the Israeli commandos. These new Gandhians beat the Israelis with metal bars and even threw one Israeli overboard.
Funny, I'm no expert, but that's not how Gandhi behaved in the movie. Maybe there was a sequel with Chuck Norris as the Mahatma? Gandhi's back -- and this time, it's personal!
The commandos had been equipped with paintball guns out of deference to the activists' professed pacifism. But when the goons attacked, out came the real sidearms. Nine "humanitarians" were killed.
Now, one wouldn't expect Naiman to take Israel's side. He'd lose his social justice decoder ring for that. But one might expect him to at least lament the failure of his comrades to stick to their principled nonviolence. One might also expect kosher pigs to fly.
After the incident, Naiman returned to the Huffington Post not to lament the outbreak of violence but to salute the resolve of the "humanitarians."
He opened with a question: "How do you know when someone is serious about pursuing a strategy of nonviolent resistance until victory for justice is achieved?" Then he answered it: "When they refuse to turn back in the face of state violence. Damn the commandos. Full speed ahead." He then went on to celebrate another propaganda ship heading toward Gaza.
How do you know when a proselytizer of nonviolence is full of it? When he doesn't object to the use of violence.
Among Israel's friends, there's a deep and wide consensus that the "flotilla fiasco" was a public relations disaster, proof that Israel doesn't know how to work with the global media to shape world opinion.
The first part is almost indisputable at this point. The raid was a disaster. As for the second part -- that Israel's problems are about public relations -- I'm not so sure.
The assumption is that world opinion is open to hearing Israel's side of the story. But that hasn't been the case for years. From the "Jenin massacre" that was no massacre to the idiotic charges of "genocide" that erupt across the Arab world, the moment Israel defends itself from missiles or "martyrs," the presumption is always that Israel is the villain. When it turns out the facts support Israel, it's at best a footnote or proof the Israelis have manipulated the media.
Question: If Israel is always hell-bent on murder, massacres and genocide, why is it so bad at it? If its battle plan called for a slaughter, why kill "only" nine people? Why not sink all of the boats?
Meanwhile, is it really the case that Hamas is objectively "good" at public relations? Or Hezbollah? Or Iran? Really? I just don't see it. To me, these PR operations are less "Wag the Dog" and more Baghdad Bob (the Monty Pythonesque spokesman for Saddam Hussein's regime). But instead of laughing at the lies and idiocy, millions nod in agreement.
North Korea recently sank a South Korean ship; the international reaction has been muted. Turkey -- the Palestinians' new champion -- has been treating Kurdish nationalists harshly for generations; no one cares. The Russians crush Chechens, the Chinese trample Uighurs. Real genocides unfold regularly in Africa. Iran is pursuing a nuclear bomb. Hamas is openly dedicated to the destruction of Israel. So is Iran.
And yet the only villain as far as much of the world is concerned is Israel. Always Israel.
But none of these facts matter. Indeed, it's tiring even to recount them in an environment where big lies matters more than obvious truths, where self-defense is "aggression," where restraint is "genocide," and where the heirs of Gandhi wield steel pipes.

Gaza Flotilla - We Con The World
According to the big success of the song "We con the world" of Latma TV, we decided to post its words.
No more words needed to expose the lies of the Palestinians and their wail to the media.
As has been said: "SHOOTING AND CRYING"
There comes a time
When we need to make a show
For the world, the Web and CNN
There's no people dying,
so the best that we can do
Is create the greatest bluff of all
We must go on pretending day by day
That in Gaza, there's crisis, hunger and plague
Coz the billion bucks in aid won't buy their basic needs
Like some cheese and missiles for the kids
We'll make the world
Abandon reason
We'll make them all believe that the Hamas
Is Momma Theresa
We are peaceful travelers
With guns and our own knives
The truth will never find its way to your TV
Ooooh, we'll stab them at heart
They are soldiers, no one cares
We are small, and we took some pictures with doves
As Allah showed us, for facts there's no demand
So we will always gain the upper hand
We'll make the world
Abandon reason
We'll make them all believe that the Hamas
Is Momma Theresa
We are peaceful travelers
we're waving our own knives
The truth will never find its way to your TV
If Islam and terror brighten up your mood
But you worry that it may not look so good
Well well well well don't you realize
You just gotta call yourself
An activist for peace and human aid
We'll make the world
Abandon reason
We'll make them all believe that the Hamas
Is Momma Theresa
We are peaceful travelers
We're waving our own knives
The truth will never find its way to your TV
We con the world
We con the people

Gaza Flotilla - An Open Letter to the World from an IDF Medic
First I want to thank everyone for all of the concerned e-mails. I am well, great. I apologize for not writing more frequently, but in the army it is like this. We don't have time for anything.
I know that all are already tired to hear about what happened in Gaza this week, but as I heard a lot of foolishness about this,I decided to tell you my version of the story. I don't want them to think that some peaceful activists or something of the sort were aboard that ship. I continue to be the same truthful person as ever. But since I was part of that episode, I cannot abstain from speaking the truth and the facts.
I WAS THERE! NOBODY TOLD ME. I DIDN'T READ IT IN THE NEWSPAPER. I DIDN'T SEE PICTURES ON THE INTERNET OR
VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE. I LIVED EVERYTHING AS IT REALLY WAS, LIVE AND IN LIVING COLOR.
As you all know, I am serving with doctors in emergency medicine in the Israeli Defense Force trauma department. That means: medicine in the field.
04:30h in the morning Monday: my army telephone begins to ring. Possible conflict in Gaza? Request for help of the medical department, to guarantee that there wouldn't be a lack of doctors.
My order: to get ready quickly and to bring supplies; the helicopter will come for me on the base.
En route, they explain to me the situation. There is a UN ship trying to break the blockade of Gaza. I read all of the registrations supplied by army intelligence (even to understand the size of the situation). The ship approached the coast on the way to Gaza. The agreement between Israel and the UN is that ALL of the boats should be inspected in the port of Ashdod in Israel and all of the supplies should be transported by OUR army to Gaza. That is because STILL TODAY, about 14 missiles from Gaza are being fired daily against Israel. And we cannot allow more armament and material for the construction of bombs to be sent to Hamas, the terrorist group that controls Gaza. In this way, we are avoiding a new war. At least for the time being.
The ship refused to stop. They said that they would only deliver the load IN Gaza.
Because of this, before a ship with 95% innocent if misguided civilians on board, (the other ones 5% are activists of groups terrorist allies to Hamas, that schemed that whole confusion) Israel decided to offer to the commanders of the ship that it be stopped for inspection on the high seas. We would order soldiers to inspect the ship and if there were no armaments, they could proceed to Gaza.
THAT WAS AN ATTITUDE EXTREMELY PACIFIST OF OUR ARMY, WITH RESPECT TO THE CIVILIANS THAT WERE ON THE SHIP.
AND, IF THERE WERE NO ARMAMENTS ON THE SHIP, WHAT IS THE PROBLEM THAT IT BE INSPECTED?
05:00h - My arrival in Gaza. Exactly when the soldiers were entering the boats. AND THEY WERE ATTACKED GRATUITOUSLY: they had their weapons stolen, they were beaten and stabbed. More soldiers were sent, this time to control the conflict. About 50 people were wrapped up in the conflict, 9 died. Those that died were they who tried to kill our soldiers, not civil UN pacifists, but terrorist militants that commanded the group. All the others - 22 wounded among the crew members of the ship, they were ASSISTED AND RESCUED BY US, ME AND MY TEAM ARE SENT TO THE BEST HOSPITALS IN ISRAEL.
Among us, 9 wounded. Shots, stabs and beating. One of them is still in a critical state after a concussion and 6 shots in the trunk. Boys between 18 and 22 years, that had orders to inspect a UN ship and NOT to hurt anybody. And they had NO intention of doing so. Israel didn't shoot either the first, nor the second shot. We were punished by trusting the pacifist attitudes of the UN. If we knew the intention of the group, we would never have our youths practically disarmed going aboard the ship. They would have been attacked by the sea. Otherwise all those that still lift their voices against Israel would be on the bottom of the sea.
After assisting our soldiers, I joined the other part of our team that was already taking care of the crew members. Even with bracelets saying DOCTOR in four languages (English, Turkish, Arabic and Hebrew) and stethoscopes around the neck, they still tried to attack US. One of them spit in the face of our surgeon. And another gave a punch to the nurse that tried to medicate him.
BESIDES AGGRESSORS, THEY ARE ALSO INGRATES.
I worked for the six following hours assisting only crew members of the ship. The whole medical supply and help were offered by Israel.
After the end of the confusion the ship was inspected finally.
IT WAS FULL OF COLD STEEL. IT WAS MATERIAL FOR THE MAKING OF HOME-MADE BOMBS.
WHERE IS THAT PACIFISM OF THE UN???
On Tuesday, I went to visit not only our soldiers, but also the wounded of the ship. That is the politics that Israel tries to maintain: we didn't kill civilians as the Arab terrorists do. We didn't refuse to send help to Gaza. We don't want more war.
BUT WE WILL NEVER ALLOW THAT THEY KILL OUR SOLDIERS.
Only stupid millionaires that find it beautiful to be a missionary of the UN do not understand that war is not a place for civilians to put themselves. There was a baby on the boat (that was left unhurt, obviously): how can anybody explain a mother who puts a baby in a ship on the way to a war zone? Where do they want to arrive with him or her?
THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT THEY WERE USED AS TOOLS AGAINST ISRAEL, AND THAT THE INTENTION NEVER WAS TO SEND HELP TO THE GAZANS AND YES TO GENERATE CONTROVERSY AND TO CREATE STILL MORE INTERNATIONAL OPPOSITION. AND THEY CONTINUE WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING THAT TO GIVE FORCE TO THE TERRORISM OF HAMAS, OF HEZBOLLAH OR OF IRAN ONLY MEANS MORE DANGER. NOT ONLY TO ISRAEL, BUT TO THE WHOLE WORLD.
Don't understand me badly. I don't think all the Arabs are terrorists.
BUT I KNOW THAT WHO CONTROLS THEM TODAY ARE TERRORISTS. And that this war is not only against Israel.
Militant Islam nails the EXTERMINATION of everyone not Arabic. We are only the first on the blacklist.
Please direct this e-mail to they that still don't understand that war is war and that the terrorists are not victims.

MV Rachel Corrie is On Its Way
The Irish ship, MV Rachel Corrie, will soon approach the blockade line. (She has been delayed due to mechanical problems.) The "Rachel Corrie" by name alone demonstrates the PR stunt this "aid flotilla" truly is. (Rachel Corrie aka St. Pancake was an American activist who died after throwing herself underneath an IDF bulldozer.)
Prime Minister Netanyahu has vowed to preserve the blockade line whilst keeping to his earlier promise to allow these ships to dock at Ashdod and, after inspection, to permit food and legitimate aid to be transported to Gaza. So the hour of decision approaches. Will the "Rachel Corrie" provoke another clash with the IDF? Or will she sail to Ashdod peacefully, having learned a lesson from the incident on early Monday morning?
The truth of the matter is simple: The Gazans are not starving. Israel provides millions of dollars of aid every month to Gaza.
The blockade is also maintained by an Arab nation - Egypt - who is as tired as Israel of fighting the terrorism in Gaza. (For years, Egypt used the Gaza Strip as a type of "Australia" circa 1770, sending undesirable political activists and terrorist to exile there.) There is no wish on the parts of either Israel or Egypt to deny these people food or the necessities of life. Rather, it is cement used in building bunkers and weapons that they are concerned with keeping out of the hands of Hamas.
Yes, Gaza needs to be freed. It needs to be freed from Hamas. The attached video explains well the situation as it stands in Gaza today.
Soon, we will learn if the activists are interested in aid or in another stunt. For the sake of the Israelis who put themselves in harm's way boarding these vessels - this former IDF soldier prays it is the former option.

Massacring The Truth - Gaza Flotilla
Real issue surrounding flotilla is global media’s refusal to grasp, reflect reality.
On Monday, Gaza flotilla “activists” used brutal violence masquerading as peace. Nonetheless, a disturbingly massive portion of the world has dubbed the events a “massacre” and an IDF atrocity.
Yet the facts are simple and straightforward: The IDF warned those aboard the Marmara that their presence in the area was not welcomed, in line with international law. The army encouraged the flotilla to sail safely, along with all of its humanitarian aid, to a different port. Yet the flotilla sailed on, and the IDF boarded the ship, as would any naval force contending with this situation.
Navy soldiers were greeted with metal pipes, baseball bats, and knives. The violence was documented on various, widely circulated YouTube clips. Soldiers found weapons, not posters and flyers, encountering people who cried out for peace but fought ruthlessly. The troops then defended themselves, hitting back at those who attacked them.
This tale is clear-cut. In fact, there isn't much to debate. Entering waters in a bid to breach a security blockade warrants a naval response. Completely unsolicited violence warrants defensive measures. What's there to discuss?
Deluded global approach
The Gaza-bound flotilla flagrantly lied and disgraced the “peace” that many in the Middle East are wholeheartedly yearning for. The proof is on video, for all to see and hear. The real issue at hand is the refusal of the global media, among others, to grasp and reflect the reality in this region of the world.
The reality is that Israel is and has been attacked on several fronts, by various means - rockets, missiles, bombs, ships, and so on. Thankfully, the IDF is a competent military with soldiers who are able to respond appropriately in order to defend the nation that it serves.
Yet when the IDF defends itself and its people, media outlets use death tolls in order to accuse Israel of using disproportionate force or perpetrating “massacres.” But death tolls do not tell the whole story. Just watch the video footage.
Unfortunately, global reaction highlights the deluded approach that much of the world takes at this time when it comes to our region. Yet the only massacre that occurred Monday was the brutal massacre of the truth. So long as so-called peaceniks wage war on peace and on the truth, and as long as the world buys into it, peace will remain unattainable.

So long as so-called peaceniks wage war on peace and on the truth, and as long as the world buys into it, peace will remain unattainable.

Gaza Flotilla Facts and Footage
Israel's Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon said in a press conference on Monday (May 31) regarding the Turkish-led flotilla that:
* "The armada of hate and violence in support of Hamas terror organization was a premeditated and outrageous provocation.
* "The organizers are well known for their ties with global Jihad, al-Qaeda and Hamas. They have a history of arms smuggling and deadly terror.
* "On board the ship we found weapons prepared in advance and used against our forces. The organizers intent was violent, their method was violent and the results were unfortunately violent. Israel regrets any loss of life and did everything to avoid this outcome."
At least seven Israeli soldiers were injured, two are reportedly in critical condition, as protesters opened fire on them after stealing their weapons.
* "Live fire was used against our forces. They initiated the violence, that's 100% clear," said Israeli Government Spokesman Mark Regev in an interview with the BBC.
* Israeli soldiers were attacked by extremists with live ammunition, axes, metal rods and blunt instruments while trying to take control of six ships en route to Gaza.
* Audrey Bomse, a spokesperson for the Free Gaza movement, said in an interview with the BBC "I cannot say for sure if there were weapons on the ship."
Clear Intent to Cause Violence
* A statement issued by the IDF states that the people on board the ship had clearly prepared their weapons in advance for the purposes of attacking the Israeli forces.
* "We fully intend to go to Gaza regardless of any intimidation or threats of violence against us," said flotilla organizer Huwaida Arraf. "They are going to have to forcefully stop us."
* At least 10 of the extremists aboard the ship were killed in the struggle between them and the IDF forces.

Probe reveals flotilla lynchers have ties to Global Jihad
Interrogation of Gaza aid sail detainees reveals some of passengers recruited specifically to attack Israeli soldiers. Suspects found to be carrying multiple weapons, cash. Meanwhile, Navy launches its own inquiry into raid
The ongoing interrogation of passengers who were aboard the Marmara – the Gaza aid flotilla's flagship – revealed that the majority of those who attacked the Israeli Naval Commandos boarding the ship have direct and indirect Global Jihad ties.
Israel's investigation has revealed some 100 people infiltrated the peace and humanitarian aid activists making their way to Gaza, with the explicit design to attack Israeli soldiers using cold arms.
Some among that group are believed to have ties with World Jihad groups, mainly al-Qaeda.
The majority of suspects are Turks, but some are Yemenites and Indonesian. One Yemenite Islamist was photographed with a dagger in his belt prior to the raid.
The suspects are not cooperating with investigators. Most of them have no identification papers, and Israeli authorities are still trying to ascertain their identity.
Nevertheless, it is clear that the majority were recruited by the same IHH handler who organized the flotilla.
IHH is a Turkish humanitarian relief fund with a radical Islamic anti-Western orientation.
Some of the suspects were found to be carrying large sums of money. Others had Kevlar vests and gas masks; and all were found to be carrying weapons such as knives, metal clubs and slingshots.
Several of the suspected were wounded by IDF fire.
Investigators have already concluded that this was the group that planned the violent resistance, which centered on the Marmara's top deck.
Meanwhile, the Israel Navy has launched its own inquiry into the raid. Senior officers told yet events probably went awry when the commandos lost the element of surprise – especially in regards to the people waiting on the top deck.
A senior IDF official said Tuesday night that "everything should be done in order to gather all the factual data and prove that the humanitarian sail had a semi-military body with a completely different goal."
The officer added that the army was "working on it vigorously. We understand the importance not just for the Navy but for all of us."
Addressing the foreign detainees suspected of beating up Navy fighters during the raid, the officer said, "If we manage to create a criminal case against some people, we should act against them in a proper legal manner."
He denied reports that the IDF did not provide medical aid to the injured foreign activists.
As for the next ship making its way to Gaza, the official said that the method of action would be determined after the lessons of the recent incident are drawn.

Weapons Found on the Flotilla Ship Mavi Marmara Used by Activists Against IDF Soldiers
During a search aboard the maritime vessel Mavi Marmara, IDF forces uncovered a cache of weapons including many knives, slingshots, rocks, smoke bombs, metal rods, improvised sharp metal objects, sticks and clubs, 5KG hammers, firebombs and gas masks in case IDF forces fired riot dispersal means at the activists as they violently attacked the soldiers.
These weapons were used against Israeli Navy personnel as they attempted to board the ship. 7 soldiers were injured during the incident, which included activists taking two pistols from the soldiers and firing at them.
Israel to UN: Flotilla participants not peace activists
Deputy Ambassador Carmon asks Security Council emergency meeting, 'What kind of peace activists use knives, clubs and other weapons to attack soldiers?' Turkish FM: Israel's hands are covered with blood
The UN Security Council held an emergency meeting Monday evening, less than 24 hours after the deadly naval raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla.
During the meeting, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu called Israel's actions "murder committed by a state without any justification."
"We saw an act of barbarism in live footage and Israel's hands are covered with blood," he added.
The deputy head of Israel's mission to the United Nations, Dan Carmon, told the Security Council, "Although portrayed in the media as a humanitarian mission delivering aid to Gaza, this flotilla was (not) a humanitarian mission. If indeed it were a humanitarian mission it would have accepted, weeks ago, during the planning stages, the offer by the Israeli authorities to transfer the aid, through to the port of Ashdod, to Gaza through the existing overland crossing, in accordance with established procedures. Many states and organizations, including the UN, are using those mechanisms on a daily basis.
"The Flotilla organizers not only rejected this offer, but stated clearly that (and I quote) 'this mission is not about delivering Humanitarian supply, but rather about breaking the Israeli siege,' as Greta Berlin, a flotilla spokesperson told the media last week."
Many UN ambassadors, including Israel's Gabriela Shalev, were unable to attend the meeting because they were not in New York when it was announced.
Carmon continued to say, "What kind of Humanitarian activists demand to bypass the United Nations, the Red Cross, and other internationally recognized agencies? What kind of peace activists use knives, clubs and other weapons to attack soldiers who board a ship in accordance with international law? What kind of Humanitarian activists, some with known terrorist history, embrace Hamas, a terrorist organization that openly shuns a two state solution and calls for Israel destruction, defying conditions set by the international community and the Quartet? The answer is clear: they are not peace activists; they are not messengers of good will. They cynically use a humanitarian platform to send a message of hate and to implement violence."
"Let me remind the Council that a state of armed conflict exists between Israel and the Hamas terrorist regime controlling Gaza. Let me remind the Council that rockets and mortars are still being launched by Hamas and others toward southern Israel. Let me remind the council that Gaza is occupied by terrorists that ousted the PA in a violent coup, and that arms are continuously being smuggled, including by sea. Let me stress that a maritime blockade is a legitimate and recognized measure under international law that may be implemented as part of an armed conflict at sea," he added.
The Israeli official said the radical Turkish IHH organization, one of the primary organizers of the flotilla, announced just prior to boarding "we are going to resist and resistance will win.”
Carmon said IHH "has a radical anti-Western orientation. Alongside its legitimate humanitarian activities, it supports radical Islamic networks such as Hamas, and at least in the past has even supported global jihad elements, such as al-Qaeda.
"Being a so-called humanitarian mission, these champions of human rights also rejected in the initial planning stage an Israeli request to ask Hamas to allow the Red Cross to visit captured soldier Gilad Shalit," he added.
The Turkish FM responded to Carmon's claims by saying that the flotilla was carrying supplies "for the children of besieged Gaza, and now these children don't know where their next meal will come from."
The Palestinian observer in the UN, Riyad Mansour, told reporters prior to the meeting that he expects a swift response to Israel's actions. "We hope the Security Council will take decisive action…A response that will demand explanations from Israel and condemn (Israel) for this operation. The blockade on the people in Gaza must be lifted."

Humanitarian Activism, Turkish style

This will give you a feel for what the Israelis had to deal with when boarding the Turkish "humanitarian aid" ship:
The Navy commandos were prepared to mostly encounter political activists seeking to hold a protest, rather than trained street fighters. The soldiers were told they were to verbally convince activists who offer resistance to give up, and only then use paintballs. They were permitted to use their handguns only under extreme circumstances.
The planned rush towards the vessel’s bridge became impossible, even when a second chopper was brought in with another crew of soldiers. “Throw stun grenades,” shouted Flotilla 13’s commander who monitored the operation. The Navy chief was not too far, on board a speedboat belonging to Flotilla 13, along with forces who attempted to climb into the back of the ship.
The forces hurled stun grenades, yet the rioters on the top deck, whose number swelled up to 30 by that time, kept on beating up about 30 commandos who kept gliding their way one by one from the helicopter. At one point, the attackers nabbed one commando, wrested away his handgun, and threw him down from the top deck to the lower deck, 30 feet below. The soldier sustained a serious head wound and lost his consciousness.
Only after this injury did Flotilla 13 troops ask for permission to use live fire. The commander approved it: You can go ahead and fire. The soldiers pulled out their handguns and started shooting at the rioters’ legs, a move that ultimately neutralized them. Meanwhile, the rioters started to fire back at the commandos.
“I saw the tip of a rifle sticking out of the stairwell,” one commando said. “He fired at us and we fired back. We didn’t see if we hit him. We looked for him later but couldn’t find him.” Two soldiers sustained gunshot wounds to their knee and stomach after rioters apparently fired at them using guns wrested away from troops.

Casualties reported during IDF raid on Gaza sail
IDF spokesperson says fighters who raided vessels headed to Gaza 'attacked with clubs, long knives.' Army reports more than 10 passengers killed in operation. Dozens injured, including six soldiers
"This was not a humanitarian sail, but a violent provocation directed against us," said Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson Avi Benayahu. "We were attacked with clubs and long knives."
According to an initial military report, more than 10 activists who took part in the sail were killed and several were injured.
Arab media provided conflicting reports on the casualties, some stating that 15 people were killed and 50 were injured
The IDF reported that six Navy fighters were injured, one of them sustaining serious wounds. The injured were evacuated to Israeli hospitals by helicopters.
According to an IDF source, "The sail's participants were not innocent and used violence against the soldiers. They were waiting for the forces' arrival."
According to Benayahu, "Our forces encountered serious violence, nearly unprecedented. Throughout the night, we continued the diplomatic effort through the communication methods in the sea.
"The Navy commander took charge of the event from a command post in the sea. He ensured that the six ships received warnings to turn back and an invitation to sail to the Ashdod Port to complete the delivery of the aid through land crossings after an Israeli security check. In all these cases we were firmly turned down."
Near lynch against soldiers - Activists on Gaza sail had weapons
According to the IDF spokesperson, the army received an order to stop the boats which were carrying unknown equipment. "In the largest boat, called 'Marmara', there are 570 people. The fighters, who arrived with ladders and came down from ropes, encountered what they described as a near lynch.
"There was serious violence, cols arms, knives, we have a stabbed soldier, clubs. You can see that every soldier that came down was attacked. This is not the activity of peace activists."
Benyahu confirmed that the activists snatched one of the fighters' weapons. "He was attacked by the crowd and they opened fire. During the incident, our fighters were in real danger, both from the clubs and from the weapons. They used crowd dispersal means, and when there was no choice – live ammunition. We don't know if there were any other weapons on the ship, because the entire picture is unclear. We did not encounter peace activists on this boat."
Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon holds press briefing several hours after IDF takes over flotilla headed to Strip, accuses fleet's organizers of having ties to Hamas, al-Qaeda
"It was a provocation," Ayalon said during a press briefing. "On the deck we found weapons which were used against the forces. The organizers' intent was violent and the results were unfortunate.
"Israel regrets the loss of life. We called the organizers once and again the stop the provocations. We asked to transfer the aid in legitimate means. We promise that the aid will be transferred through the Red Cross and through our people."
The deputy foreign minister added, "After the repeated calls, which were unanswered by the people on the boats, they were told that they would not be able to break the blockade. The organizers failed to obey the army's non-violent calls.
In a first official Israeli response to the deadly Israel Defense Forces takeover of the ships, Ayalon accused the sail's organizers of having ties to the Hamas and al-Qaeda terror organizations.
Barak speaks with Turkish ministers after Gaza ship incident
Defense minister telephones Ankara officials, holds emergency meeting with IDF chief of staff. Meanwhile, Minister Ben-Eliezer says, 'It was obvious this was media provocation. We are not Shiite suicide attackers, soldiers must defend themselves'
Hours after the takeover of the Gaza aid ships, Israeli ministers are trying to subdue the flames. Defense Minister Ehud Barak spoke with the Turkish defense minister, foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu and the Turkish ambassador to Israel.
Barak, who held an emergency meeting with IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi, also spoke with Shin Bet chief Yuval Diskin. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is currently on an official visit to Canada, is receiving updates on the situation.

In addition, Industry, Trade and Labor Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, who is currently in Qatar, told Ynet, "It was obvious to all that this was a media provocation, aimed at reaching a confrontation with Israel. Anyone who didn't realize this – did not know what they were talking about. We are not Shiite suicide attackers, and it is the soldiers' duty to defend themselves."
At least 10 activists were killed in the takeover of the aid ships, and dozen were injured. Several IDF soldiers were also injured, one in serious condition, from gunshots and stabbings.
Ben-Eliezer, who is in Doha or a series of meetings at an economic forum, added that he was being updated on the situation in the Mediterranean Sea.
"Unfortunately, it doesn't look good," he said, "According to the information I have received, they ambushed our soldiers the moment they landed on the deck, with sticks, knifes, bottles and metal objects. We are not Shiite suicide attackers. The soldiers must defend themselves."
Despite the takeover, Ben-Eliezer plans to continue his visit in Qatar. "I am going forward with my visit as scheduled. I am scheduled to appear in a number of panels at the World Economic Forum. While it may be unpleasant, I am used to such situations, there is no threat to my wellbeing," he said.

More Quotes About "Palestine"
"There is no such country as Palestine. 'Palestine' is a term the Zionists invented. There is no Palestine in the Bible. Our country was for centuries part of Syria. 'Palestine' is alien to us. It is the Zionists who introduced it".

Concerning the Holy Land, the chairman of the Syrian Delegation at the Paris Peace Conference in February 1919 stated:
"The only Arab domination since the Conquest in 635 c.e. hardly lasted, as such, 22 years".
"There is not a solitary village throughout its whole extent (valley of Jezreel, Galilea); not for thirty miles in either direction... One may ride ten miles hereabouts and not see ten human beings. For the sort of solitude to make one dreary, come to Galilee... Nazareth is forlorn... Jericho lies a mouldering ruin... Bethlehem and Bethany, in their poverty and humiliation... untenanted by any living creature... A desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds... a silent, mournful expanse... a desolation... We never saw a human being on the whole route... Hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive tree and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil had almost deserted the country... Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes... desolate and unlovely...".

"In 1590 a 'simple English visitor' to Jerusalem wrote: 'Nothing there is to bescene but a little of the old walls, which is yet remayning and all the rest is grasse, mosse and weedes much like to a piece of rank or moist grounde'.".

"The Arabs themselves cannot be considered but temporary residents. They pitched their tents in its grazing fields or built their places of refuge in its ruined cities. They created nothing in it. Since they were strangers to the land, they never became its masters. The desert wind that brought them hither could one day carry them away without their leaving behind them any sign of their passage through it".

"Then we entered the hill district, and our path lay through the clattering bed of an ancient stream, whose brawling waters have rolled away into the past, along with the fierce and turbulent race who once inhabited these savage hills. There may have been cultivation here two thousand years ago. The mountains, or huge stony mounds environing this rough path, have level ridges all the way up to their summits; on these parallel ledges there is still some verdure and soil: when water flowed here, and the country was thronged with that extraordinary population, which, according to the Sacred Histories, was crowded into the region, these mountain steps may have been gardens and vineyards, such as we see now thriving along the hills of the Rhine. Now the district is quite deserted, and you ride among what seem to be so many petrified waterfalls. We saw no animals moving among the stony brakes; scarcely even a dozen little birds in the whole course of the ride".
- William Thackeray in "From Jaffa To Jerusalem", 1844 -

"The country is in a considerable degree empty of inhabitants and therefore its greatest need is of a body of population".

"The area was underpopulated and remained economically stagnant until the arrival of the first Zionist pioneers in the 1880's, who came to rebuild the Jewish land. The country had remained "The Holy Land" in the religious and historic consciousness of mankind, which associated it with the Bible and the history of the Jewish people. Jewish development of the country also attracted large numbers of other immigrants - both Jewish and Arab. The road leading from Gaza to the north was only a summer track suitable for transport by camels and carts... Houses were all of mud. No windows were anywhere to be seen... The plows used were of wood... The yields were very poor... The sanitary conditions in the village [Yabna] were horrible... Schools did not exist... The rate of infant mortality was very high... The western part, toward the sea, was almost a desert... The villages in this area were few and thinly populated. Many ruins of villages were scattered over the area, as owing to the prevalence of malaria, many villages were deserted by their inhabitants".
